This week’s success story is about Georgiana Katsingris, a 9th grade student from Westfield, NJ, and the CEO of Wäkkii.
Wäkkii makes and sells a product that lets children step into their own imaginative world and have fun. Wäkkii is a t-shirt for young children with a soft Velcro patch on the back that lets children attach different types of animal tails to it. This young CEO launched her company with blue and pink dinosaur tails as its initial design element, and is exploring many other different types of animals. Through YEA!, Georgiana created a new way for children to express themselves, develop their imagination and creativity and have fun!
Wäkkii has had tremendous success recently, as it is now on the shelves of a retail store in Georgiana’s hometown of Westfield, NJ, as well as available for sale on www.wakkii.com.
Georgiana is a graduate of the YEA! Greater Westfield, NJ class and was the runner-up at the 2015 Northeast Regional Saunders Scholars Semifinals Competition in Rochester, NY. She is a freshman in high school, and is actively involved in her community.
