YEAlogo gifBedford, TX, September 10, 2014 – The Young Entrepreneurs Academy class in HEB is filling fast as the community rallies behind its inaugural year which kicks off on September 22.

Through the program, YEA! HEB students will launch their own real businesses. YEA! students will brainstorm business ideas, pitch ideas to real investors to obtain real funding, and then register, launch and operate their own real businesses or social movements all through the course of one academic year! Members of the business community have volunteered to support the students every step of the way as business mentors, guest speakers, fieldtrip hosts, graphic designers, and web developers. YEA! students apply and are accepted into the afterschool program through a competitive admissions process. Outstanding 7-12 grade students can also be nominated to apply by their teachers, advisors and mentors.  Students will have the opportunity to enjoy the newly opened HEB ISD Gene A. Buinger Career & Technical Education Academy. The YEA! HEB class will be held there on Mondays from 4:30pm-7:30pm. Student applications can be found at

YEA! HEB has been made possible through the tremendous support of many sponsors in the HEB community: HEB ISD Education Foundation (Entrepreneurial Spirit Sponsor); Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital HEB and Allstate Steve Ward Agency (Inspiration Sponsors); Payton Realty Management, LP, Republic Services, Inc., First Financial Bank, Shalyn S. Clark Insurance & Financial Services and Bell Helicopter (Accelerator Sponsors); City of Bedford, 6 stones, Dynamic Business Solutions, Delgado Orthodontics, Liberty Bank, DOCUmation, Fort Worth Community Credit Union and Mid-Cities Pacesetters Rotary Club (Start-up Sponsors).  YEA! sponsors demonstrate a deep commitment to economic vitality, business creation and the entrepreneurial spirit. YEA! students will have the opportunity to meet the YEA! business supporters through guest speaking sessions, YEA! signature events, and when they pitch to a panel of judges at the big YEA! Investor Panel event scheduled for May 2015.

“The active involvement and generous support from our business partners will directly help transform local students into real business owners,” says Gayle Jagel, CEO and Founder of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy. “This support will strengthen our business and educational communities, and secure the next generation of leaders across the nation.”
