September 22 is North Texas Giving Day, an online donation event. Each year, people give millions of dollars to thousands of local nonprofit organizations. In support of this important day, the Chamber will be highlighting some of our nonprofit members in the coming weeks.
Texas Baptist Home is a Christian foster care and adoption agency. This ministry exists to protect the sanctity of human life and to promote the preservation of the family. This purpose manifests itself in preventative, rehabilitative and specialized services to children, youth, adults, and families. The aim of these programs is to enable this ministry, local churches and the community to meet more effectively the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals and families. United Way of Tarrant County: Simply speaking, we help people. For the past few years, we’ve focused on improving lives in the areas of education, income and health. We specifically want students to graduate on time, families to be on the path to financial stability and older adults and those with disabilities to be healthy at home as long as possible. Our partners in this work include 42 community agencies and our information and referral service, 2-1-1. Our free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance offers tax preparation for many.
