Ernie Flores and Kathie Jackson of Chick-fil-a Heritage Towne Crossing Accept the Award from Tom Hingst
The Small Business of the Year Award was presented to Chick-fil-A Heritage Towne Crossing at the recent HEB Chamber Awards Luncheon. The award was sponsored by ALL ABOUT RECOGNITION and presented by Tom Hingst with Hingst Enterprises, the 2015 recipient.
Chick-fil-A has a full menu of contributions to the Chamber and the community. For example, they participated in a WFAA’s Christmas toy drive and 6 Stones’ CPR program, and they have been a supporter of the HEB Chamber golf tournament ever since they opened.
Additionally, they’ve welcomed firefighters who were collecting funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and hosted three “Coffee with a Cop” events last year.
They’ve also done activities in support of school teachers, and held several “Spirit Nights,” sharing a portion of their proceeds with local school sports teams. 6 Stones recently recognized them with a 2017 Game Changer Award for School Based Advocacy.
They also held “sleepover” event for kids and their stuffed animals. And their drive-through area is sometimes staffed by a Jedi Knight.
