HEB Chamber of Commerce Announces February Member of the Month

Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Texas: For Immediate Release, April 7, 2008

The HEB Chamber February Member of the Month is Ronny Marriott, Shady Oaks Baptist Church. Members of the month are volunteers who go "above and beyond" the call of duty for the Chamber. Ronny chairs the Chamber’s Community Alliance Committee and has been instrumental in making the February Food Drive and Blood Drive a success this year.

When asked about his organization and experience in HEB this is what he had to say. "Five years ago, Shady Oaks Baptist Church invited me along with my wife Robin and our three kids, Molly, Morgan, and Ryan to move from Austin, Texas to Hurst to lead the church. This has been a time of personal growth and church growth. Last year I received my doctorate from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. Our church has grown to two worship services on Sunday morning; a 9:30 a.m. traditional service and an 11:00 a.m. contemporary service. We have created a user friendly environment where everyone is welcome.
