Hurst Euless Bedford Chamber of Commerce donates items to Feed by Grace

Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Texas: For Immediate Release, November 6, 2007

The HEB Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2008 HEB Leadership Class. Joining the ranks of many past distinguished leaders are De Mia Brown, Carter BloodCare; Jimmy Carrick, Bank of Texas; Courtney Collins, Compass Bank; Jenny Ellis, Harris Methodist H.E.B. Hospital; Oscar Figueroa, HEB ISD; Matthew Gallagher, The Gallagher Group; Cammie James, Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County; Jade Lampin, Forest Ridge Funeral Home; Wayne Pavlik, City of Euless; Andrea Sanders, Oncor Electric Delivery; Candice Sanders, City of Hurst; Angela Velasco, Tarrant County College-Northeast Campus; Amy Walker, Community Enrichment Center; Janice Wentworth, Comfort Keepers; Ashleigh Whiteman, City of Hurst; Jason Williams, Dallas Baptist University-Colleyville, and Tina York, State National Bank.

Leadership HEB has been developing community leaders for twenty years to assure quality volunteers for the future. The mission of Leadership HEB is to motivate emerging leaders, develop potential for civic responsibilities and increase their knowledge of the community.

Angela Velasco, Tarrant County College-Northeast, says “The HEB Leadership course curricula has not only met, but has exceeded my expectations for what I had hoped to learn about the issues and the concerns of the HEB community. I am having the time of my life and forging lifetime friendships with colleagues that I both respect and admire.”

Participants of Leadership HEB will get a behind-the-scenes look at area transportation issues, economic development, public safety, city government, education, and the state government at work during a day trip to Austin. The class will also plan and complete a community service project.
