HEB Superintendent Dr. Gene Buinger to highlight district programs during the April HEB Chamber Membership Luncheon
Hurst, Euless, Bedford, Texas: For Immediate Release, April 5, 2007
HEB ISD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Gene Buinger will be the keynote speaker at the monthly Chamber membership luncheon, April 12, 2007. Dr. Buinger will highlight some of the programs and students in the Hurst Euless Bedford Independent School District during his "State of the District" address. Featured programs will include Spanish Immersion students, an award-winning ballroom dancing team and junior high Suzuki Strings performers. HEB Culinary art students will also participate by providing desserts.
Dr. Buinger took over the helm of HEB ISD June 1, 1999 and has 35 years of experience in education, 24 of those as superintendent in five other school districts and four states.
"Dr. B" is an avid walker who has twice served as honorary chairman of the March of Dimes’ WalkAmerica and is a member of the board of the HEB Chamber and Junior Achievement of Tarrant County. He is the immediate past president of the Texas School Alliance and serves on the Texas Association of School Administrators’ Legislative Action Committee.
The Chamber’s membership luncheon sponsor for April is the Star-Telegram. Monthly membership luncheons are held at the First United Methodist Church of Hurst, 521 W. Pipeline Road, Hurst. Networking begins at 11:00 a.m. Buffet opens at 11:30 a.m. Cost for the luncheon is $15 for members w/R.S.V.P. by April 9, $18 after April 9 and $30 for non-members.
