Chamber Newsletter (2nd Quarter, 2010)
Chairman's Corner
It's that time of year once again when we get to "Spring Forward!" We get one more productive hour of daylight, we get to pick up where we left off just before winter hibernation, and now we should plan to hit the ground running.
We just had our Business2Business Expo; the event this year was very well attended. Reports we are getting indicate success on many levels, both from the participants as well as from all of the visitors! This year I think there was just a little more excitement in the air and folks really wanted to get out and learn more about what is going on in the HEB area.
The theme for the Business2Business Expo was to reConnect, reVitalize, and reInvest. If you missed out on that opportunity, I hope that you will find the time to come out and participate in The Chamber's next big event.
Heading up the event is our Golf Chairman Micah Lane, ViewPoint Bank. The Golf Tournament is scheduled for Wednesday April 28th, at the FabEuless Texas Star Golf Course. Micah has done a great job of reminding us it's not all about the game, but also about getting the opportunity to meet and network with other business people in our area that we would like to do business with, so spring into action there is still time for you to participate!
Remember, every time you participate, you are making your Chamber Membership work for you! I am looking forward to seeing you there!

Ambassador of the Quarter
The Ambassador of the First Quarter was Linda Huggins. Whether it's a ribbon cutting or other Chamber event, Linda will be there. Her dedication to welcoming new members and greeting at Chamber ribbon cuttings and luncheons throughout the year has earned Linda this distinction. Ambassadors are known as the meeters and greeters of the HEB Chamber, and are essential in helping new members feel welcome and getting involved. Linda Huggins works at Dr. James B. Wright, D.D.S., Inc. dental office and encourages members to drop by for any cosmetic dentistry procedures. Contact Linda Huggins at 817-788-0573.
